Eir Bjørkly hired as Managing Director for the Norwegian office.
Eir Bjørkly will take the role as Managing Director of Element Logic AS from February 1, 2019. This will strengthen Element Logic’s organization in Norway.
Eir Bjørkly has long experience both commercially and operationally from the logistics industry after 14 years in various subsidiaries in Posten Norge. For the past year she has been employed by Bring Warehousing AS as CEO.
“I look forward to getting to know the people behind the impressive journey Element Logic has been through. An important task for me is to ensure further growth in the Norwegian market, a market that still has a great potential,” says Eir Bjørkly, Managing Director of Element Logic AS.
“I have long experience from working to streamline and stabilize customers ‘value chains and have seen how this can strengthen companies’ competitiveness. The market is placing ever higher demands on speed, flexibility and precision, and I look forward to being able to combine solid products, technology and innovation in such a way that we contribute to optimization for our customers,” concludes Bjørkly.
E-commerce creates new storage needs
AutoStore is a unique robot storage solution that can be tailored to the customer’s needs. In Norway, AutoStore is already a key success factor in companies such as XXL, Gresvig, Sport-1, Komplett, GetInspired, Fjellsport, Elektroskandia and many more.
“The recent years of formidable growth in both Norway and the increasing e-commerce demands creates the need for efficient and intelligent warehouse solutions, and we know Element Logic can deliver, “says Håvard Hallås, Chief Sales Officer in Element Logic.
“With Eir Bjørkly onboard, the Norwegian organization will now have a clear focus on the Norwegian market, while the group management led by CEO Dag-Adler Blakseth will focus on the growth and development of European markets. With Bjørkly’s experience and expertise, she will certainly develop the Norwegian market, and at the same time contribute to our own development of delivery models and further development of our existing customers in Norway,” Hallås continues.
According to Norwegian e-commerce in 2018, it is reported that Norwegian e-commerce players have a turnover of NOK 144.8 billion. 60% of Norwegian consumers have traded online in 2018, and the growth is estimated at 16% in the coming year. Increased digitalization, faster circulation speed and ever-increasing expectations from end-users help to strengthen the change in the retail industry in Norway. “This makes our commitment in Norway even more valuable, and we want to create competitive power for Norwegian e-commerce companies”, Hallås adds.
