Purpose of the role

Supply Chain Lead is overall responsible for purchasing, logistics and warehouse for the local market’s activities. In the role you are responsible for the performance of the systems and relationship with existing suppliers. He/she is part of the Ops NO lead team and a strong interface with the Group function Supply Chain. The Supply Chain lead will also be part of cross-country activities (e.g. establishing/helping peer organizations in other BUs when required. HSE and delivery precision are important areas with a extra attention throughout the value chain. Software purchases are becoming an important part of Element Logic’s product portfolio, managing of partners and purchasing of software with its legal terms might fall into the role as we develop.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Procurement, purchasing (call-offs), logistics and warehousing are all key responsibilities
  • Proactively monitoring/ surveillance of lead times
  • Owner of internal Warehouse Operation
    – Spare part philosophy (linked to MasterData ownership)
    – Warehouse operation
    – Re-order level
    – Ordering
    – Warranty process with suppliers
    – Stock/inventory programs
  • Develop and determine optimal logistic solutions
  • Proactively work on reducing the cost base of Element Logic
  • Supplier management
  • Owner of supply chain MasterData e.g;
    – Articles creating in ERP
    – Data generated through the value chain
    – Converting data to insights and used to expand improve supply chain
    – Take lead on control tower philosophy for goods coming in
    – Monitoring
    – Reporting on ESG targets
    – Etc.
  • Close interaction with key stakeholders;
    – Sales
    – Delivery
    – Service
    – Product mgmt. team to find and determine suppliers for existing and new products
  • Continues improvement, by;
    – Standardization and harmonizing methods and philosophy across the company
    – Seek smarter ways of running the operations
  • Capacity planning
  • Manage and develop the team and function
