As the first company in Denmark, Hummel has chosen to invest in the innovative Black Line robots, which can change the batteries themselves during operation.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-dekode-post-date\"><span class=\"date-published\">Published <time datetime=\"2022-11-14T09:00:00+08:00\">November 14, 2022 9:00 am<\/time><\/span> <\/div>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hummel.net\/\"><br>Hummel<\/a>\u00a0takes a logistical and digital leap with its new giant storage and distribution center in Denmark. A key component is the 100\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/sg\/solutions-and-services-2\/autostore\/\">AutoStore<\/a>\u00a0Black Line robots implemented by Element Logic, which will handle most of the warehouse\u2019s picking. Thanks to Black Line\u2019s innovative battery technology and larger bins, Hummel is guaranteed the highest possible efficiency, as the robots change the battery themselves and can run 24 hours a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-biggest-investment-in-hummel-s-history\"><strong>The biggest investment in Hummel\u2019s history<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHummel is a well-known brand in the market and it makes us proud to be the ones to deliver the first Danish warehouse with Black Line robots to Hummel. The flexibility and capacity of AutoStore is a good match for the growth journey that Hummel is embarking on, as the AutoStore warehouse can easily be expanded and adapted to the growth of the business,\u201d says Nikolaj Bj\u00f8rn Eriksen, Managing Director of Element Logic Denmark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hummel\u2019s high-tech warehouse and distribution center is the largest investment in Hummel\u2019s history with a size totaling over 20,000 m<sup>2<\/sup>&nbsp;and will serve more than 30 markets. It has an ideal location close to the highway and situated close to the Danish-German border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"reduces-manual-picking\"><strong>Reduces manual picking<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Black Line technology ultimately proved to be the right solution for Hummel, as the larger bins make it possible to store a higher percentage of goods.
