The implementation of the robotic solution has been very beneficial ergonomically for the employees.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-dekode-post-date\"><span class=\"date-published\">Published <time datetime=\"2022-03-08T09:52:00+00:00\">March 8, 2022 9:52 am<\/time><\/span> <\/div>\n\n\n<p>The two main positive effects after implementing the AutoStore solution in autumn 2021 have been less heavy lifting and faster item picking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith the AutoStore solution, most of my work takes place by a workstation, while robots pick goods and deliver them to my station for me to pack. My work is not nearly as hard as before, and I prefer to work together with the AutoStore solution,\u201d says Ian Andersen, who works in the AutoStore team at Sanist\u00e5l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\" id=\"attachment_4279\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2022\/03\/man-stacking-boxes.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1799\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2022\/03\/man-stacking-boxes.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2022\/03\/man-stacking-boxes-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2022\/03\/man-stacking-boxes-768x511.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"saves-a-lot-of-lifting-in-a-day\"><strong>Saves a lot of lifting in a day<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The 52 AutoStore robots do most of the heavy work of picking and bringing the goods to the employees. This minimises the number of heavy liftings for the warehouse employees and facilitates the picking of goods at the central warehouse in Billund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBefore, I had to lift every box onto a wagon. Now, I only have to give the box a little nudge onto an automatic conveyor belt that sends the package further into the system, and this saves me a lot of lifting every day,\u201d says Erik Pedersen, warehouse worker at Sanist\u00e5l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\" id=\"attachment_4277\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2022\/03\/Man-with-orange-t-shirt-in-front-of-port.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1800\" style=\"width:843px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2022\/03\/Man-with-orange-t-shirt-in-front-of-port.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2022\/03\/Man-with-orange-t-shirt-in-front-of-port-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.elementlogic.net\/content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2022\/03\/Man-with-orange-t-shirt-in-front-of-port-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"increases-storage-efficiency\">Increases storage efficiency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The robotic warehouse solution increases storage efficiency, and the goods are picked almost three times faster than manual picking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe haven\u2019t decreased the number of employees because of AutoStore, but we\u2019ve become more efficient so we can handle even more goods in the future. It is great that the robotic system also is an improvement on the employees\u2019 work environment,\u201d says Sine Solh\u00f8j Hansen, Operations Manager at Sanist\u00e5l.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"focus-on-work-environment\"><strong>Focus on work environment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With employee work environment and safety at the forefront, it has been important from the very beginning for Sanist\u00e5l to involve the warehouse employees in the implementation of the AutoStore solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey have had a great influence on how the workstations have been set up and helped determine where the screen and scanner should be located and how much space is needed.
