As we mark Element Logic\u2019s 40th anniversary, it\u2019s the perfect opportunity to celebrate a remarkable journey that began in 1985. From humble beginnings in Norway, two visionary brothers \u2013 Kjell and Dag-Adler Blakseth \u2013 shared a dream of optimizing warehouse performance and making businesses more efficient. This shared vision laid the foundation for the global success story we see today.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Early Years: A Modest Start with Big Ambitions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Starting out as a small Norwegian business, the Blakseth brothers began by enhancing warehouse workflows with innovative yet simple solutions, like writing software based on a stopwatch and manually counting warehouse worker steps. Their approach was bold yet grounded in practical efficiency \u2013 a characteristic that remains at the core of Element Logic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Breakthrough Moment: The AutoStore Collaboration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2003, Element Logic entered a new chapter when Kjell Blakseth crossed paths with Ingvar Hognaland, the inventor of AutoStore, at a tradeshow. Dag-Adler Blakseth, known for his strategic insight and entrepreneurial drive, played a pivotal role in supporting the decision to embrace AutoStore\u2019s \u201ccrazy robot idea.\u201d Within six months, the brothers led the creation of the world\u2019s first AutoStore system, establishing a partnership that would revolutionize the industry and define Element Logic\u2019s trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expansion and Global Reach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Under Dag-Adler and Kjell\u2019s leadership, Element Logic rapidly grew, first becoming a market leader in the Nordics and then expanding across Europe. In 2015, the company completed its first AutoStore project outside the region, and by 2020, it held full European distribution rights. The vision continued to guide the company during this period of remarkable growth, including the acquisitions that opened doors to new markets in the Americas and most recently Asia-Pacific\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
