Element Logic delivers advanced automation for Kramp’s new Nordic distribution center

Element Logic has signed an agreement to deliver and implement an AutoStore and conveyor system for agricultural wholesaler Kramp’s upcoming Nordic distribution center in Vejle, Denmark. The facility will be a highly complex installation, combining multiple technologies along with picking and packing operations on a mezzanine level to ensure optimal use of available space.
Construction of a major new facility is now underway in central Denmark. Located near the highway in Vejle, Kramp is building a 21,000-square-meter distribution center that will serve as a logistics hub for the Nordic markets.
Advanced automation solution for complex logistics needs
Element Logic has been selected as the technical partner for the project and will deliver the complete automation solution. The decision is based on Element Logic’s many years of experience implementing AutoStore solutions in complex logistics environments, with a strong focus on delivering flexible and scalable systems that maximize warehouse space utilization.
This expertise will be critical in developing one of the most advanced logistics centers within the agricultural sector in the Nordics. At the same time, the project reflects how Element Logic continues to evolve from a systems integrator into a full solutions partner in designing, delivering, and optimizing end-to-end warehouse performance.
The new automated warehouse will ensure maximum capacity utilization through Element Logic’s AutoStore system, which is characterized by efficient use of floor space, as picking and storage processes take place vertically.
Maximizing every square foot
In Kramp’s case, space utilization is taken even further by placing picking and packing operations on a mezzanine level, freeing up floor space for other processes.
One of the major challenges in warehouse operations is making the most of available space and getting the most out of the rent. In this project, we address that by moving operations, picking, and packing to an elevated level.
Faster and more accurate warehouse operations
The AutoStore solution will play a central role in Kramp’s future warehouse operations, supporting fast, compact, and efficient workflows. The goal is to increase both speed and accuracy in goods receiving and order picking, enabling Kramp to deliver faster and more reliably to its customers as demand for shorter delivery times continues to grow.
“The agricultural and machinery industries are developing rapidly both in terms of professionalization and digitalization. The future market demands flexibility and, above all, fast and reliable service. We must be able to deliver on this to remain relevant to our customers,” says Mark Weetink, Managing Director, Kramp Nordics, and continues:

“Our core services are fast delivery, a strong product range, and high operational reliability. With AutoStore, we are gaining a warehouse that significantly strengthens all three areas. It is not just about keeping up with the market, it is about staying ahead.”

Optimized warehouse layout with room for future growth
The new distribution center will be capable of handling approximately 12,000 order lines per day, with the vast majority processed through the AutoStore system. The solution will be established with an initial capacity of around 86,000 bins and can be expanded in line with future needs.
“The AutoStore system provides us with a high degree of flexibility and efficiency. It enables us to confidently navigate both growth and market changes in the years ahead. The technology allows us to process orders faster and with even greater accuracy – something that is crucial to our customers’ business.” -Peter Søgaard, Sales Director, Kramp Denmark
The new distribution center is expected to be fully operational in early 2027.
