GymBeam chooses Element Logic to automate its distribution center in Italy

E-commerce and omnichannel distribution are reshaping logistics. To manage growing complexity and market volatility, GymBeam has invested in a highly automated infrastructure designed to increase operational efficiency and support its expansion in the European market.

GymBeam, a leading company in sports nutrition and functional foods, is growing quickly. The company has a team of more than 700 professionals, a catalog of over700 products, and six proprietary brands.

To further improve customer service and optimize warehouse management, GymBeam chose to invest in automation.

As part of its European growth strategy, GymBeam partnered with Element Logic to automate its new Italian logistics hub with an advanced AutoStore system that combines speed, precision, and flexibility.

From success in Slovakia to expansion in Italy

The collaboration between GymBeam and Element Logic began with an opportunity in Slovakia, managed by the team in Czech Republic. The success of the first installation strengthened the relationship between the two companies and paved the way for a new project in Italy, chosen as a strategic hub to serve the European market.

Coordination between international teams made it possible to approach the new project in an integrated way, building on previous experience and adapting it to a new operational environment.

GymBeam needed to expand its distribution capacity and implement an automated system capable of handling a wide range of products, from apparel to sports nutrition, across both B2B and B2C operations. Element Logic’s solution combines AutoStore with integrated material handling systems, including case erectors, case sealers, labeling machines, and shipping sorters. Together, these technologies help GymBeam manage operational complexity while improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

The modularity of the system also enables future expansions and the introduction of new technologies, making GymBeam’s warehouse a future-ready logistics center. For example, the operational ports are already prepared to accommodate a robotic picking arm in the future, helping further increase speed and accuracy across operations.

The project is managed by an international team that coordinates every phase of solution delivery and implementation. Ongoing support, structured staff training, and continuous monitoring help ensure that every part of the operation delivers strong performance over time, with particular focus on KPIs such as speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

A benchmark for the industry

The ability to adapt to different products and markets is one of the strengths of this installation. In collaboration with GymBeam, Element Logic has developed a project that serves as a benchmark for logistics and distribution companies in Europe.

By combining advanced technology, modular automation, and a future-oriented strategy, the solution delivers a highly efficient, scalable, and sustainable system.

From an operational perspective, the impact is clear: faster workflows, fewer errors, improved ergonomics for operators, optimized energy consumption, and a scalable infrastructure that supports GymBeam’s continued growth.

This shows how a well-designed infrastructure can do more than improve operational performance. It can also become a replicable model for other companies looking to move forward with the digital transformation of logistics.

GymBeam is clear proof that investing in intelligent and sustainable automation is the right path for growing with stability and innovation in the European market.
