La Fourche Triples Its Productivity with Element Logic
La Fourche, a leader in online organic grocery retail, has reached a key milestone in optimizing its logistics operations. In partnership with Element Logic, the company implemented an AutoStore system to address its productivity and capacity needs.
Against a backdrop of rapid growth, La Fourche chose to develop and automate its supply chain to support the growth of its business while ensuring maximum efficiency.
A Tailored Automation Solution for Growing Needs
At La Fourche’s 14,000-square-meter warehouse in Mitry-Mory, France, Element Logic installed an AutoStore system featuring a 1,270-square-meter grid, 118 robots, and 25,000 bins. The system was deployed in just eight months, in record time, and not only optimizes available space by using vertical storage but also significantly improves the speed and efficiency of order picking.
Thanks to this automation, La Fourche has already tripled the productivity of its picking operations and aims to quadruple it in the near future.

We had two major challenges: improving our productivity and optimizing our storage space. Thanks to AutoStore, we now make use of the height of our warehouse, reaching up to six meters. The result is increased storage capacity and significantly greater efficiency in order picking.

Tangible Benefits for an Innovative Organic Grocery Business
With a catalog of more than 4,500 products, La Fourche currently stores 80% of its SKUs in the automated system, representing 60% of the volumes handled. The company plans to reach 75% in the coming months by adding new picking stations and increasing system capacity by 40%.

The integration timeline was a key consideration. We ordered the system at the beginning of 2024, and it was operational by September, in time for one of our busiest periods. This speed of execution was crucial in limiting the impact on our production.

The System at a Glance
Installed in August 2024 and operational since then, Element Logic’s warehouse automation system currently handles 3,700 SKUs and consists of:
- A 1,270-square-meter grid
- 25,000 bins
- 118 robots
- 7 ports for order picking and receiving
With a long-term perspective, the company plans to double the system grid by 2027 to further increase its storage capacity.
