TEVEO Grows with Element Logic Automation

With the implementation of an AutoStore system, an intelligent conveyor concept, and a cloud-hosted managed services infrastructure – provided by Element Logic and its subsidiary S&P – has transformed the intralogistics at sportswear brand TEVEO’s new distribution center, setting the foundation for high process performance and scalable growth.

In 2019, TEVEO was founded in a small apartment in Nuremberg with a clear vision: create, produce, and sell its own sportswear brand. Within six months, three successful product launches fueled rapid momentum. By early 2020, rising order volumes required external warehousing. Distinctive designs, tailored fits, and an innovative online strategy – powered by effective influencer marketing – drove demand and sustained growth.

By spring 2023, TEVEO had relocated to Ansbach, where 75 employees now work across departments ranging from product development to logistics. A dedicated distribution center on-site handles all storage and shipping operations.

To optimize warehousing and shipping operations, TEVEO turned to state-of-the-art logistics technology.

-The efficiency of our logistics hub directly translates into short delivery times,” explains Co-Founder and CEO Jan Christopher Stahl, and continues:

-Our customers typically receive their orders within two to four working days. That speed gives us a vital edge in this competitive market.

Today, TEVEO is one of the fastest-growing sportswear brands in Europe.

Future-Ready Logistics Technology

Following a competitive bidding process, Element Logic – a global AutoStore pioneer and system integrator – was awarded the contract to design and implement the AutoStore system, integrate it with conveyors and packaging lines, and install a warehouse management system (WMS).

-Element Logic presented the most intelligent design, the smartest conveyor layout, and the most seamless software integration. Their references showed us they could deliver complex projects on time and on point, says Jan Christopher Stahl, Co-Founder and CEO of TEVEO.

Powerful and Scalable Setup for Maximum Throughput

On a 3,640-square-meter footprint, Element Logic installed an AutoStore grid for 92,000 bin locations. 115 R5+ robots move across the grid surface at speeds of up to 3.1 m/s, retrieving bins and delivering them to picking ports. Seven conveyor ports handle bin restocking and inbound processes. For picking, 22 high-performance Carousel Ports are available, capable of presenting over 3,670 bins per hour.

-It’s not just powerful, it’s beautiful. The entire system – robots, ports, and steel platforms – was customized in TEVEO’s sleek black brand color, says Joachim Kieninger, Director Strategic Business Development at Element Logic Germany.

Smart Conveyor Integration

At the ports, employees pick items into shipping boxes using a pick-to-light system. Cartons are automatically supplied via three case erectors and transported through the facility on a 1,150-meter conveyor and sortation system. Once a pick is complete, the carton travels through fully automated packing lines where it’s sealed, labeled, and sorted for dispatch.

-Our high-speed conveyor and sorter system is designed to handle over 3,600 units per hour, matching the AutoStore system’s peak performance. This setup ensures TEVEO can effortlessly scale as order volumes increase, says Kieninger.

Full Automation Down to the Last Step

Each carton passes through automated machines that reduce volume and seal the package with paper tape. Labels are applied by one of four automatic applicators, and a sorter distributes the finished cartons to 12 outbound stations for palletizing. All elements – conveyors, sorters, and packing lines – are controlled by Element Logic’s eController.

Delivering Value and Growth Potential

TEVEO’s IT foundation combines the eController with Element Logic’s WMS, including the AutoStore Connector. Notably, TEVEO is the first customer to use Element Logic’s cloud-hosted managed services – covering server infrastructure, databases, and networks.

-This relieves internal IT, ensures smooth daily operations, and keeps the system future-proof. It was a key decision driver for TEVEO, says Kieninger.

On one of its first production days, the system delivered more than 4,700 bin presentations. Over 5,000 picks per hour were achieved, equating to about 70,000 picks per day.
