Scandinavian Cosmetics automates its logistics processes with Element Logic

Scandinavian Cosmetics, the leading distributor of beauty products in Scandinavia, is automating and consolidating its operations into a new warehouse in Malmö, Sweden, where Element Logic will install an AutoStore solution.

As a leading distributor of make-up, fragrance, skin and hair care, Scandinavian Cosmetics AB represents more than 60 leading international brands. The company operates as an agency, selling to both retail and, increasingly in recent years, e-commerce. Today, its operations are spread across several manual warehouses in Norway and Sweden, but it has now chosen to bring everything together in a new AutoStore-powered warehouse in Malmö.

The decision to consolidate warehouses comes down to modernising and automating logistics processes, helping Scandinavian Cosmetics meet customer needs more effectively and efficiently.

Built for dynamic performance

The new 6,000 m² warehouse houses an AutoStore solution with capacity for 30,000 bins. To meet Scandinavian Cosmetics’ requirement of around 900 order lines per hour, 35 robots will feed bins to the AutoStore workstations for picking and packing. The solution is set to go live in spring 2021.
